--快速发展的成都高新技术产业开发区
在国家、省、市的领导和支持下，成都高新区坚持“发展高科技，实现产业化”的根本宗旨，积极实施火炬计划，极大地促进了成都高新区经济的快速发展。
通过火炬计划的实施，成都高新区由1991年的4家内迁企业、6500万元产值、800万元利税，发展为2002年的GDP168亿元、技工贸总收入472亿元、工业总产值388亿元。2002年技工贸总收入、工业总产值分别是1991年的715倍和597倍，对成都市GDP增长的贡献达到20%，已经成为地方经济发展新的增长点和中国重要的高新技术产业化基地，已经成为中国西部投资环境最好、经济发展最快的区域之一。
实施国家火炬以来，成都高新区共有122个项目获得国家火炬计划立项，12家企业被评为国家级重点高新技术企业，培育成功了地奥、国滕、鼎天、托普、迈普、迪康等一批知名高科技企业，已形成电子信息技术和生物医药产业为龙头，以其他高新技术产业为补充的产业体系。2002年度执行的15项火炬计划项目共实现产值12720万元，销售收入10729万元，实现利润2327万元。
在二次创业中，成都高新区将继续高举火炬旗帜，加快实施火炬计划，努力建设“全国一流，西部第一”的高新区。
For the Fifteen Years the Torch Shines, the Hi-tech Zone
is Displaying New Brilliance

Zone
With the support from the central, provincial
and municipal leadership, the Chengdu Hi-tech Zone, persisting
on its strategic goal of “To develop Hi-technologies to
fulfill their industrialization”, has actively carried out
the “Torch Program” and greatly promoted the economic growth
of the Zone.
Along with the execution of the Torch program, the Chengdu
Hi-tech Zone has grown from 4 relocated enterprises with
65 million industrial output and 8 million taxes and profits
in 1991 to a GDP of 16.8 billion, total income from technology,
industry and trade operations of 47.2 billion and an industrial
output of 388 in 2002, an increase of 715 and 797 folds
in total income from technology, industry and trade operations
and industrial output respectively, now contributing 20%
to the GDP growth of the city, becoming an economic engine
and an important hi-tech industrialization base. The Zone
has become one with the most favorable investment environment
and fastest economic growth in west China.
After the initiation of Torch Program, the Chengdu Hi-tech
Zone has 122 projects approved as Torch Program projects
and 12 enterprises recognized as the state’s key hi-tech
companies, incubating well-known technology firms such as
Diao, Guoteng, Dingtian, Top, Maipu and Dikang and formulating
an industrial system with two pillars of IT and pharmaceuticals
and other accessory hi-tech industries. In 2002, 15 Torch
Program projects carried out in the Zone generated an industrial
output of 127.2 million, a sales income of 107.29 million
and a profit of 23.27million.
In the second enterprising drive, the Chengdu Hi-tech Zone
will continue to hold high the “Torch Program” and to expedite
its carryout to strive for the “First Rate in the Country
and Number One of West China”.
